FOOD & BEVERAGE
IF IT'S YUMMY, WE'LL HELP YOU sell it
Original packaging was pressure sensitive labels affixed by hand to polyethelene wrappers (top). By printing directly on the wrapper, we not only gained more message area, but substantial labor and materials savings are realized. We took the opportunity to create a design that delivered the key marketing messages with larger fonts, and more compelling graphics (bottom). Which one would you buy?
Our experience in retail food packaging came in handy when our software client needed mock package graphics for a sales pitch. Authenticity was required by the client, so we adhered to all FDA labeling requirements even though the product was completely imaginary.
From a series of information cards, each included with case shipments of Stomping Girl Wines. We also created the company's business cards (shown above) and other marketing pieces.
Here's a fun project: to emphasize a client's unique system for conflict resolution (which they've branded as their "special sauce"), we created this fun and memorable illustration for their brochure. We like thinking outside the box to help businesses stay fresh, fun, and relevant.
A fun marketing tool that's useful, too. One side explains the company's product line; the other side contains tasty recipes.
When this hot sauce was only sold at the restaurant that makes it, FDA regulations didn't apply. But, as the product moved into other markets, Ross Turner Design was there to help get the labeling legal and up to snuff. We also polished up the iconic "three peppers" logo while we were at it, giving it some extra pop.
We directed the photography, negative scanning, and color correction to get this giant can graphic up to Red Bull corporate standards. We then supervised the press check at the printer, ensuring a perfect final product.
The chalkboard idea was already in place when Ross Turner Design was brought on board - but something was missing. We suggested the wooden frame to enclose the black slate and chalk illustrations. This finishing touch and the choice of some fun, hand-drawn fonts makes for a very memorable package.
In addition to containing and protecting the item, food packaging must also get the buyer's attention and make the sale. At Ross Turner Design, we excel at delivering point-of-purchase solutions that move product while also adhering to the many regulatory requirements of the FDA.
